The Philadelphia Calligraphers' Society is a non-profit association which seeks to advance the knowledge and appreciation of calligraphy and to encourage the exchange of ideas among our members and the art community.

Membership is open to anyone regardless of calligraphic ability. Whether you are a professional artist, a student, a hobbyist, or a calligraphile, PCS provides information, workshops, creative opportunities, and a community of colleagues for scribes throughout the Delaware Valley.

Established in 1976, the Society's purpose is to promote the study and practice of calligraphy and allied arts and to focus public attention on its use and beauty. In 2006, PCS is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a major exhibit at the Free Library of Philadephia, two regional exhibits, community outreach programs, and a very special anniversary dinner complete with entertainment and gifts for everyone.

If you are interested in joining, an online membership application can be found here.
