Shirlee DiBacco Letters for The Rachael Ray Show!

The Rachael Ray people contacted Shirlee DiBacco (Vice President) to do some calligraphy on the wall of a kitchen they were remodeling for the Home Economics teacher at Frankford High School – Marilyn Greenberg passed her name onto them, and after emailing them some samples of her work, they had Shirlee come on Wednesday April 7, to look at the jobsite, then return on Thursday to actually do the work. (Then went back Mon morning to quickly put names on certificates for 9 students to whom RR donated $5000 scholarships each for culinary school!  This was revealed on the May 3rd Rachael Ray Show (during sweeps).

Shirlee appears on-camera and speaks during one of the segments, and she's so calm and cool you'd think she's on national TV every day. If you missed the show, you can still see it on the Rachael Ray Website. When you visit the site, scroll down to the "For More Information..." links and look for a familiar logo: that's right, there's a link to the PCS website on Rachael Ray's website.

Congratulations, Shirlee, and thanks for representing PCS to the world as a world-class organization.

11th Annual Bucks Fever Artists Studio Tour April 24 and 25, 2010

Linda Carol Gray was nominated for the "Bucks Fever" Artists Studio Tour this month....and made it!!  She is thrilled and would like to share it with the PCSers.  This area is so full of artists who work in various mediums.  To be a lettering artist and accepted into this circle is great and a wonderful opportunity to educate everyone about calligraphy and the fine art that it is. Congratulations to Linda Carol Gray

PCS at the National Constitutional Center

Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006
11 AM - 2 PM

Youth Education Chair, Arlene Spector, has arranged for a PCS demo of copperplate at the National Constitution Center on Oct. 14th. PCS members will inscribe bookmarks for visitors on the main floor of this beautiful museum.  While we celebrate our 30th anniversary, our activities will coordinate with the Constitution Center's interest in the writing style in which the Constitution was penned.  This will be another community outreach for PCS to educate the general public about calligraphy.
