Workshops Policies

Registration

Workshop are limited to 20 participants unless otherwise stated. Seats will be filled in the following order of descending priority until two weeks before the workshop: (1) PCS “Full” members, (2) PCS “Subscribing” members, and (3) non-members. Seats within each category will be filled in the order in which registrations were received. If too many tuition checks are received at the same time for the same workshop, the Work­shops Registrar will promptly hold a random drawing for the available seats. Those not picked in the drawing will be placed on the waiting list and notified of their status.

Confirmation

Confirmation of your registration (and any supply lists, maps, driving directions, advance assignments, etc.) will be mailed to you only if you enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope with your registration from and check (or workshop gift certificate). Checks are deposited after the workshop is held.

Certificate Holders

Only one member holding a certificate for a free workshop day ay attend any single workshop so as to preserve the workshop’s financial viability.

Waiting List

If you deposit is received after the class is full, you may either request a refund or join the waiting list (the Workshop Registrar will contact you). We strongly encourage you to join the waiting list, which often melts away right before a workshop. Places in workshops are given to those on the waiting list in the order in which their registrations were received.

Cancellations

are accepted up to two weeks before the workshop. PCS will con­sider full and partial refunds for illness or emergency on a case-by-case basis. You may request a refund if a workshop is rescheduled and you cannot attend on the new date or at the new location.

Compensation For Workshop Volunteers

Workshop participants who provide room, board and local transporta­tion for out-of-town instructors get the workshop for free
