Laurie Silverstein put it best in describing how the coloring book came together: “It was a true collaboration.” The idea started when Katrina Moore-King suggested making an alphabet coloring book as a 50th anniversary project. Meg Kennedy added the illuminated letter project to the coloring book idea to add an educational element in accordance with our charter. Katrina researched definitions for each calligraphic word that corresponded with the letters. Meg corralled 15 people into creating the artwork for each letter. Laurie diligently cleaned up each and every letter. I laid out the inside pages. Laurie designed the front cover. Meg wrote the introductory copy.
