The 2019 Annual Members Meeting of
and presentation about
Thursday, September 12
6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
on the campus of Saint Joseph's University
5600 City Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19131
The PCS annual business meeting
will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m.
in the Wachterhauser Conference Room
on the second floor of the Post Learning Commons
adjacent to the Francis A. Drexel Library.
Following the meeting, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.,
the university librarian will treat us to a fascinating presentation
about the making of The Saint John's Bible.
"The Saint John's Bible is a work of art and a work of theology.
A team of artists coordinated by Donald Jackson in Wales
and a team of scholars in Central Minnesota
have brought together the ancient techniques of calligraphy and illumination
with an ecumenical Christian approach to the Bible
rooted in Benedictine spirituality.
The result is a living document and a monumental achievement."
After the presentation we will also
have an opportunity to view
actual volumes of the Heritage Edition
of The Saint John's Bible.
You must register to let us know
that you will be attending.
Carpooling is highly encouraged.
There is street parking on campus
or at Hawk's Landing at 54th St and City Ave
(see the purple circle at #45 indicating location).
Walking is required to get to
the Post Learning Commons next to the library.
(located at the red circle at #50 and #9).
For a shorter walk, it is possible to drop people
off at Cardinal Ave., then park at #45.
